I think that's part of the costume. Because it's way too symmetrical(or something like that) to be digitally edited in. But that sounds like something Carl would do.

It was pretty easy once you compare the two. It is the EYES! The original had the eyes FARTHER APART and this picture has the eyes CLOSE TOGETHER! Hope I am right!
