Today is Annual World Penguin Day! If you don't know what that is (cause I didn't either) here it what it's all about:
On April 25th, millions of penguins drift North. Other birds don't do this, but penguins drift every year.
Since penguins cannot fly, they waddle to a random island to meet new friends.... NOT! They walk around to find new homes and breeding grounds. It's long journey across the ice.
There are about 20 different species of penguin around the world! I had no idea there where that many, did you?
Penguins are awesome because they are not afraid of humans! But, they rarely get closer than 3 meters away from a person. I don't get that, I thought they like us?
