2011 FIREWORKS On Club Penguin!?

Remember when Club Penguin used to have fireworks on July 4th? *sigh*

I know Club Penguin extended the Music Jam party... but still.

I know Club Penguin is a Canadian company... but still.

I know Club Penguin is laying off employees... but still.

I know Club Penguin is loosing players... but still.

Let's take a minute and enjoy last years fireworks on Club Penguin... *sigh*

Ooo...Aah...

*sigh*

So tell me what you think about WHY Club Penguin did not have fireworks this year.

Oh and HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY! WOOT!

  6. Maybe because they have a lot going on. We still haven't even gotten our catalog, pin, or newspaper, right?

  7. But Mimo do you mean that this is the LAST year of playing cp? And in 2012 they shut it down well the membership raised alot from 5,95 TO 7.95 anyways if you read this cp: KEEP CP GOING YOU MAY LOSE PLAYERS BUT ITS NOT THE END YOU STILL GOT A FEW MILLION PEOPLE waddle on in 2012 (I hope so)

  8. I think cp is getting bad the membership prises raises BIG if you still want a membership for a GOOD prise RENEW OR GET A MEMBERSHIP now before it costs 1000.0000 for 1 month nah just kidding anyways renew it now or get a membership before the prises REALLY raise

    ReplyDelete
  9. I think the only reason they are loosing players is because they keep changing the site... And the membership prices. It's the little things that make or break their future.

  10. maybe it is just delayed like the new hat and background was becuase of them updating it so much.

  11. I think its because they extended the jam and didnt want to make it even MORE FUN by adding fireworks (stupid decision! :-( )

  12. Oh, and I didn't know that they are a Canadian company but if so, then why did they do fireworks on the 4th of July in the past years? maybe they just decided not to do it this year.

  13. because they don't want to favor one country or one holiday?
ya, CP is dying. I used to be a massive fan, but heck it lost to runescape (AND I was a memeber on CP) over a year ago. Now it just way, way, WAY to kiddy for anyone to like, too small for non-mem's and too pricy for anyone.

  14. Their running out of money, they have to change the membership prices or CP will die! Anyway, happy Fourth of july, Mimo!

  15. CP might be shutting down soon because of all these bugs and glitches the only reason cp is loosing penguins is because of them they raise prices and do too many same things at partys! lots of my friends (in real life) has been telling me club penguin is breaking down every day and is gonna be destroyed at 2012 plz post this i love ur site!

  16. Well a lot of stuff has been going on with CP. All these bugs, glitches, losing workers, and losing players. They extended the Music Jam to make people have more fun at the party. (they might have even extended it to keep players) Im getting tired of the Music Jam and I want fireworks!!!!

    HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

Club Penguin isn't shutting down. They're just probably making more things, (like the extended music jam, and more games) and need more money for them. It isn't going to end in 2012. And they don't only have a FEW million, they have MANY millions of penguins. Why would they shut down a successful virtual world? Club Penguin will waddle on through 2012.

P.S. Some people are taking this as an opportunity to hate on Disney. It's not their fault, so chill.

P.P.S. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!

  21. the reason why lots of penguins are leaving is:

    1. the filter is way to strict. it blocks out the word "filter" and even the word "penguin"! and if a penguin says something thats against the strict filters, the whole message is blocked out! you can't even chat to people anymore and you lose friends because they think they're ignoring you! they should of kept the same filter in 2007 and not of got a new one

    2. they have the same parties every year. they should come up with new parties.

    3. they are bringing old items back. people like wearing old items, but they bring them back! if they seriously bring back the snowflake shirt and crown, i will be really mad.

    4. they are making everything for members. they made game levels for members only when they used to be for nonmembers! and they are adding fun events and its always for members!

    5. they raised the membership prices! i thought $5.95 was to expensive since other sites you can get a whole year for $15-$20, but now its $7.95? club penguin is seriously desperate for money

    ReplyDelete
  22. Hey, stop complaining! It's just the 4th of July, and clubenguin would put frieworks up early the years before, you know why? Because it was Canada day to! They didn't just celebrate independence day.So you don't see any Canadians or anyone else complaining. You selfish americans.

  23. Because Club Penguin is a game for EVERY country, not just the US

  24. CP suckss now. ii remember it used to be fun when everythinqq wasnt like MEMBER THIS,, MEMBER THAT. now EVERYTHING and ii mean EVERYTHING is member..! its not fair for non memebers like me..! :P

  31. I think because CP is for people in other contries, too. I e-mailed them to ask why the Easter party wasn't there and the emploee e-mailed me back saying they are trying to stay away from religous holidays so no one is lefted out.

    ReplyDelete
  32. You wanna know why Club Penguin is losing players?

The members don't get cool stuff
The clothes cost too much and when you lose membership, you lose them.
The igloo stuff cost to much.
Free players are even more bored due to the fact of having too little to do, nothing new is happening fast enough for them, no opportunities.

    ReplyDelete
  33. It's obvious why they're losing players, lack of content, shrinking audience market, lack of things to do, lack of new stuff, and the only thing to do is buy things that don't pay off in the long run since there isn't a reservoir of quests or tasks to do and even if you do these you run out fast, the games suck, you see where I'm going, Club Penguin is A WASTE OF TIME!!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Runescape will kill CP because of the shrinking market, they have more to offer, QUESTS!!! 100's of quests and some of them are really fun to do, but like anything if you don't release a lot of content in long bursts, or little content in fast bursts, no one's going to hang on to the same old thing for long. I still have an account but, since the lack of content killed it to WoW and besides I'm older and I don't want to play the same pizza game 10 times a day in perfect games to buy everything in the catalog AND THEN I'M BORED AGAIN!!!!!

PS: So yeah, if your bored, pick up Runescape or WoW or something else because the reason your bored is one of the following: Your getting older, need something that involves killing. Lack of content is killing interest. Membership's too high (didn't know it was $8, go to Runescape it's $6 for more fun, WoW is even more fun for $15, it's worth it in the short run) You just hate it and want to get out.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I havn't played Club Penguin in months. It's getting kinda boring because they're getting rid of so many things such as calling the Christmas Party the "Holiday" party. All of the parties and plays are always the same and there's never anymore good free items. I canceled my membership but
    now I'm happily playing Minecraft.

  36. Club Penguin has been going downhill ever since Disney bought it. I mean have you seen the membership prices lately. They may have made card-jitsu but they are taking away from that now. I remember the good old days when the only difference in between members and non-members was their igloos and their clothes, but now non-members can barely do anything besides getting on.

  38. Even if a whole bunch of kids quit Club Penguin will still be GINORMOUS and now that Disney is making shorts on it a LOAD of new players will come. I think they are now trying to target a larger audience since they have already conquered the U.S.

Club Penguin isn't shutting down. They have a lot of bugs and glitches because they're introducing new software that they're testing out. This always causes bugs. Club Penguin isn't breaking down. It still makes millions per year, even though a few penguins left it. They're raising prices a lot, yes, but they need money to make cooler things. Club Penguin isn't shutting down in 2012. It's hugely successful, and millions of people would be disappointed if it was shut down.

P.S. Some people would take this as an opportunity to hate on Disney. Please don't.

That's what I think. Remember last year's Christmas Party? They changed it to Holiday party so that people who celebrate Hannakuh and Kwanza didn't feel left out.

I agree that there is a bit too much members-only stuff, but to run a successful virtual world, you need money. Disney can't just take millions of dollars out of their budget to deal with one virtual world. They need to make their own money. I realize raising the prices was kinda extreme, but with all the new things they're adding, I can see how they need money. I also agree about the filter, but according to the COPPA (Children's online privacy protection act) you need some type of filter or at least moderators, or you could be fined a large amount of money. They bring back parties because many people like the same parties again and again. (Although I could do with a little change...)

P.S. Some people will take this as an opportunity to hate on disey. It's not their fault, so please don't.

P.P.S. The chat filter for Club Penguin pretty much allowed you to say ANYTHING before. Maybe the COPPA found out and charged them, so now they need more money. Just an idea.

I don't really understand their reasoning. Easter and Good Friday are national holidays in US and Canada, and it is celebrated in almost every country in the world. And even if you don't believe in it, you can still have fun looking for easter eggs. Am I wrong?

    cp needs a move on

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm a member but i agree when people say everythings for members i feel bad for non-members but i'm going to be one on August 14th so i will feel their pain but i hate that cp keeps making every thing member this and member that.I HATE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(i think they didn't have fireworks this year because more american penguins might be leaving while penguins from other countries aren't leaving like americans are.But they probably had fireworks prevously becasue more americans were here) (I know it's a canadian company)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I would like to see them INCLUDE the things that make countries and areas different.
    Historical costumes, customs and music.
I would like to be able to make a German castle, a Mexican adobe, a French bakery, an Italian restaurant, a Welsh or Irish stone house and sheep. That sort of thing.
ADD ethnic things, don't take them away and make us all smooth bland mashed potatoes. I want something spicy with LUMPS!
I don't know if that made sense, I hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It's all a tricky situation where CP is losing players becuase kids are getting older and growing out of CP.(This is normal for any kids thing) Club Penguin and Disney think the solution is to change and make more things and make it more modern but this what is killing CP's population sometimes change must stop for a bit and SLOW DOWN! and keep things the same for everyone to grow into change before you expand.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Because they're getting lazier. Remember the Christmas party last year, it was the same as this year. There starting to never change the parties. So I think they were to lazy to make the fireworks :(

    ReplyDelete
  60. Firstly, because maybe they're taking into consideration that not everybody on CP is American? Did you think of that?

Secondly, you used "loosing" which is bad grammar. It's "losing".
