they r expensive because they r "limited edition" .dumb rite?
normaly, other stuffed toys from CP are $7-$10.
Its cheaper to get a one month (or even six month!) membership card--
and earn coins to buy similar clothes that are like the ones in the Treasure book.

In responce to this, although clubpenguin gets a lot of money from the memberships, they still want more. Making them expensive is a good way for them to get money. They also know that non members will probably buy them because they want cool clothes

Hey! I think the toys might be available in your country soon, because CP mentioned that the toys will be available in some other countries by 2009. Keep checking Toys R' Us outlets in your country.Hope this helped!
